Our Story

We're neighbors first. We've lived and worked in Portland's Hollywood District for years and have always believed it's one of the city's best-kept secrets—walkable, welcoming, and full of people who genuinely care about their community. What it didn't have was a place you could wander over to any day of the week for any occasion: somewhere to meet friends after work, bring the family for dinner, catch the game, or settle in for a date night. When the opportunity came to build that place, we took it.

The Callback is a neighborhood bar with nine independently owned food carts, all sharing one space. Inside, you'll find thoughtful cocktails, local beer, cider, wine, and an intentional non-alcoholic menu. Outside, you'll find a covered patio built for Portland weather and kitchens serving different cuisines—each independently owned, with its own menu and story. Come hungry, stay awhile, and don't be surprised if one round turns into another.

The name Callback is a nod to the film industry—a second look, an invitation back—but to us, it's really about creating a place you'll want to return to again and again. The kind of neighborhood spot where the bartenders know your drink, your friends know where to find you, and every visit feels a little like coming home. Whether it's your first round or your fiftieth, we're glad you're here.
